About Me
I'm a firm believer that great music can come from anywhere.
I've always had a unique fascination with sound and music, particularly the kind that pushes boundaries, bends the rules, and subverts expectation. In 2021, I enrolled at the BYU Commercial Music program to help myself and others produce that music and create those sounds. Since then, I've been working with professional music producers, creating unique scores for film, writing original music, and even collaborating with local artists. I've loved every second.
If you've heard my work before and want to collaborate, let's get in touch. I can help you take your project and convert it from just an idea to a quality finished product.
Work Experience
During my time studying at BYU, I worked as a Studio TA. I Supervised and mentored students in BYU’s new state-of-the-art Studio Y, providing hands-on guidance with microphone setup, recording, mixing, and feedback on music projects, acting as a kind of on-call, in-house producer for the School of Music.
For the better part of my last year at school, I worked as an intern at Noisebox Studios under Dave Zimmerman. I assisted with audio and MIDI cleanup, setup/takedown for larger recording sessions, as well as attending to clients and keeping the facilities maintained.
On my own, I've recorded solo artists, local rock bands, and even jazz combos, in addition to my own original material. I'm trained and experienced in audio suites like Pro Tools, as well as other industry standard audio suites/editors like Melodyne or Izotope RX, for pitch correction and audio cleanup/noise removal. I've helped students write, record, mix, and master dozens of songs at BYU's on-campus recording studios and production suites.
Beyond working in the studio, I've worked with the School of Music's streaming department as both a recording engineer and a videographer. I've helped mic up, record, mix, and broadcast dozens of recitals, opera performances, symphonies, and other artists that have performed at BYU. I've used Dante, DaVinci Resolve, and other professional video equipment in these positions.
I also have been working as a freelance producer since 2021. I've provided scores and location audio for short films, produced songs for local artists, and provided sound effects and music for YouTubers, including theOdd1sOut.
